The Manchester Sanctuary is closing
The Manchester Sanctuary will close on 31 August 2019.
The Sanctuary has helped people in mental health crisis overnight, since 2014, by providing telephone support or visits to the Sanctuary at Kath Locke Centre, Moss Side.
Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is developing a new approach to urgent care services that will be rolled out later in the year.
When will the Sanctuary close?
The current contract ends on 31 August 2019, so the service will no longer operate from midnight on 31 August 2019 onwards. The Sanctuary telephone number, 0300 003 7029, will still exist and will be answered by a team from Crisis Point (a Turning Point project) who will be able to signpost callers to alternative sources of support.
